Sophomore Moises Marquez and Rafael Gonzalez

The men's and women's cross country team demonstrated three top ten finishes over the weekend in the Coach Downey Cross Country Invitation at San Diego City College.
Sophomore Rafael Gonzalez placed 2nd for the Vikings on the men's side with a time of 21:40.9. Up next was sophomore Moises Marquez with a 22:19.2 in 4th place. Sophomore Evan Ridgeway also performed for the Vikings with a 13th place finish with a time of 24:26.1.
On the women's side, sophomore Lilyanna Figueroa came in 4th for the Vikings with a 21:11.6. This was person record from her performance last year at this meet.
The Vikings will compete again on Saturday, Oct. 13 at the Highlander Invitational at UC Riverside at 8 a.m.
