Beach volleyball’s sophomore Kaitlyn Peterson earns the Student-Athlete Spotlight of the Week achievement for her help in the California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) Team and Pairs State Championship. Peterson and her partner, Elsa Woods, helped the Vikings take runner-up in the Championship match with their wins over Irvine Valley and Sierra. During the CCCAA Pairs State Championship, No. 10 Peterson and E. Woods finished their pool with a 2-1 record and placed second in their pool. Peterson and E. Woods fell short in the next round of play (top 16) and was knocked out by Mira Costa’s Boatright/Hess.
