Congrats to the Long Beach City College cheerleading team on winning a state title at the 2023 CHEERpros California State Championships! The event took place on Saturday at the Pasadena Convention Center.

LBCC totaled a final score of 82 points to edge out Riverside City College with 79 points for first place at the competition.

"We are very excited to hold this title," said LBCC Cheer and Dance head coach Diana Galias.

Up next for the Vikings, they will compete at the 2023 USA National Championships on Feb. 25-26 in Anaheim.

Long Beach was the 2022 national champion and previously won state championships in 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2022. For more information, check out the LBCC Cheer team webpage.
