Dean Decker (Basketball, 1975-76): Decker was a first-team All-Metropolitan Conference selection and was earned JC All-American honors for LBCC as a sophomore in 1976. He helped lead the Vikings to the 1976 state championship and was named state tournament most valuable player. Decker left LBCC as the school’s all-time assist leader (430) before heading south to San Diego State University. At SDSU, Decker was a two-year team captain (1977-78) and twice led the Pacific Coast Athletic Association in assists.
