The Long Beach City College men's cross country team competed in the SoCal Preview on Friday evening in Santa Ana, CA against highly-touted competition. The Vikings placed 29th in the event with sophomore Taylor Leon pacing the pack of Vikings
Leon finished the race in 156th place with a time of 23:36.6. He reached this mark by utilizing an average time mile time of 5:54.2. Freshman Alex Hoskins was not far behind, as he placed 170th overall with a final mark of 23:47.8.
The remainder of the group finished as follows:
Freshman Jesus Cortes - 23:51.6, 172nd place
Sophomore Eric Arteaga - 25:30.8, 252nd place
Sophomore Willie Jenkins - 25:44.2, 261st place
Freshman Isaac McKenzie - 28:18.4, 273rd place
Freshman Dominic Logan - 27:49, 296th place
Freshman Victor Galvan - 38:16, 316th place
The Vikings will hit the trails once again on Friday, September 30 to compete in the Santiago Canyon Invitational in Irvine Regional Park, Orange at 10 a.m.
