Step 1: Admission
Complete the admissions application to officially enroll as a
student at LBCC. Submit transcripts from other colleges to have
attended.
Step 2: Financial Aid
Apply for assistance to pay for college expenses. Complete the
FAFSA at www.fafsa.ed.gov
and the Board of Governor’s Fee Waiver at http://fina.lbcc.edu/bogfw.cfm
Step 3: Assessment
Sign up to take your assessment test to determine proper placement
in math, English/ESL, and reading courses. Register online at http://matric.lbcc.edu or (562)
938-4670.
Step 4: Orientation
Register online at http://matric.lbcc.edu to learn more
about programs and services available at LBCC which help you
understand and succeed with your educational planning process.
Step 5: Counseling/Educational Planning
Meet with a student-athlete counselor to discuss your major, your
career interests, and to select the appropriate courses that will
meet general education, major, and transfer requirements. In
addition, you will develop an individualized educational plan that
is right for you. Make an appointment by visiting the Student
Athlete Success Center in Q106 or make an appointment with the
athletic counselor at (562) 938-4560. Appointments are
required.
Step 6: Registration
Select and register online for the upcoming semester utilizing the
web-based OLE system at www.lbcc.edu. For in-person registration
assistance, visit the Student Success/Transfer Services Center at
the Liberal Arts Campus.
