The Long Beach City College Beach Volleyball swept the Mt. San Antonio College Mounties 3-0 this morning at Granada Beach in their second conference match. With the win, the Vikings improve to 8-2 overall and 2-0 in conference action.
Sophomore Sierra Davis and Brooklin Mize took down the Mounties in two sets (21-17, 21-12) with ease, along with sophomores Kaitlyn Peterson and Elsa Woods (21-10, 21-12).
Sophomores Doris Woods and Isabella Alvarez (21-14, 18-21, 15-10) fought rigorously through their match and ultimately came out on top in the final set.
Sophomore Emma Harris and freshman Brooke Gonsalves (14-21, 21-19,15-13) and sophomores Kylee Irwin-Paz and Jessica Blakeman (22-24, 23-21, 15-12) dropped their first set, but were able to make a comeback and take home the win for the Vikings.
Long Beach City College beach volleyball will return on Friday, Mar. 22 against El Camino and Mt. SAC.
