On Monday afternoon, the Vikings took down the Allan Hancock Bulldogs with a commanding 10-3 triumph in a non-conference battle.

Liam Taylor dominated the hill, earning his inaugural win by limiting the Bulldogs to just two runs while fanning five batters across five innings. Luis Guzman and Brian Pham joined the fray, each contributing two innings of solid relief to stifle the Bulldogs' offense, allowing only one additional run in the final inning.

The Vikings wasted no time asserting their dominance, as Luke Davis smashed an RBI single in the opening frame, setting the tone for the rest of game. They continued their relentless offense in the second inning, notching four more runs courtesy of Davis Grawey, Isaac Quiroz, Reef Danner, and Caleb Brandon.

Although the Bulldogs managed to muster two runs in the top of the fifth, the Vikings swiftly responded in the bottom half of the inning. Davis delivered yet again with another clutch RBI single, driving in Olin Snakenborg, while AJ Quezada unleashed a 2 RBI double, bringing home Ryan Geck and Davis.

The Vikings extended their lead in the seventh inning, capitalizing on a Bulldog error to plate two more runs courtesy of Brett Abudayyeh and Davis. Despite a late rally from the Bulldogs in the ninth, the Vikings maintained their composure and secured the 10-3 victory.

Fans can look forward to the next showdown as the Long Beach City College baseball squad gears up to face off against East Los Angeles on Tuesday, April 9, at 2 p.m.
