In his second season, as a member of the coaching staff, Coach Rivas has coached at multiple levels.

His coaching career started at Cabrillo High School from 2016 to 2022. He started as head coach in the lower levels until being promoted as an assistant for the varsity program in 2018. He helped lead the Jaguars to a Division 2 State Regional Championship in 2019 with a record of 24-3-4, and only state championship in the programs history.

Prior to joining the Vikings he served and an assistant coach for Golden West College mens program from 2019-2021. This year, he will be joining the Long Beach Poly High School soccer staff and be the lead assistant for the boys varsity program this upcoming fall.

Coach Rivas is currently working on getting his bachelors in kinesiology at CSUDH. He currently holds a U.S soccer D License working to get his U.S soccer C License in the future.
