Title: Technical Skills Coach

Coach Roberto Escartin is a Los Angeles native, born and raised in the city of South Gate, CA. He graduated from South East High School where he was a multiple sport athlete in soccer, football, and track & field. Roberto comes to LBCC with 20+ years of playing/coaching experience at the club, high school, semi-pro, and collegiate levels. He currently holds a USSF D License and is currently in the process of obtaining his USSF C License by the end of 2023.

Coach Escartin began his coaching career shortly after graduating high school. His first head coaching position was for the girls soccer program at Legacy High School (South Gate, CA) from 2014 to 2017. In 2018 he took an assistant coach position with the girls soccer program at his alma mater South East High School. He then took over as head coach for the girls soccer program at Cabrillo High School here in Long Beach from 2019 to 2022. Roberto has also worked with local soccer organization First Touch Soccer as a coach/trainer working with their weekly academy programs, as a team trainer for local teams in Long Beach and surrounding cities, and as part of their summer/winter soccer camps.

Coach Escartin currently works as a full-time trainer/coach for Coerver Coaching with the Orange County program. He also works with FC Premier soccer club as head coach for a G2013 team in Huntington Beach and will be an Assistant Coach with the St. John Bosco Boys Soccer program.
