Lorie Lindahl, a multi-sport athlete (1959-61) who played basketball, volleyball, softball, tennis and badminton. As a sophomore she was the scoring leader on the Southern California Junior College basketball team and the college’s Outstanding Sophomore Women’s Athlete. She was a member of the 1967 U.S. national team that played in the World Championships in Prague, Czechoslovakia. Lindahl spent 36 years as a coach for nine sports totaling 71 seasons at Long Beach Jordan High School while also serving as girls athletic director, physical education chair and pep sponsor.
