Steve Ruedaflores enters his 4th season with the Vikings as the Defensive Coordinator, and his 23rd season coaching football. Prior to Long Beach City College, Coach Ruedaflores was the Defensive Coordinator at Glendale Community College in Los Angeles, California from 2014-2016.             

In his coaching career, Coach Ruedaflores has coached several players who earned numerous post-season awards including All-State, All-Region, All-Conference, and Player-of-the-Year recognitions. Many of his former players have gone on to play college football.            

Coach Steve Ruedaflores earned his Masters of Education from Azusa Pacific University in 2005, and his Bachelor of Arts from Long Beach State in 1999, where he played football.  He has been married to his beautiful wife, Rachel for 7 years, and has a wonderful daughter named Natalia.  Coach Ruedaflores is a Physical Education and Health Teacher at Long Beach City College and Los Angeles Community Colleges.
