The Long Beach City College men's basketball team had six players earn All-South Coast Conference South Division postseason honors, including four on the first team.

Freshmen guards Brandon Staton (Pols HS), Chris Spencer (Jordan HS), Elijah Gaines (San Pedro HS), and sophomore guard Kristien Owens (Wilson HS) were all first-team All-SCC South selections.

Also, sophomore forward Mwelu Mataya (Redondo Union HS) and sophomore guard Carlos Sanchez (Magnolia HS) were named All-SCC South honorable mention.

The Vikings are coming off a SCC South Division championship season after compiling a 10-3 conference record. Long Beach is 18-9 overall and looks to return to the postseason for the first time since 2011. LBCC's conference title was also its first since 2007.
