Men’s Soccer: Vikings pick up 2-1 road win at East Los Angeles

The Long Beach City College men's soccer team earned its second straight win, a 2-1 South Coast Conference victory at East Los Angeles College on Tuesday. With the win, LBCC improved to 8-5-1 overall and 4-3-0 in SCC play.

The Vikings got goals from sophomores Evair Marin (Cabrillo HS) and Manuel Larios (Millikan HS) to pick up the win. Marin knocked in a penalty kick in the 38th minute while Larios' goal proved to be the game-winner. In the 57th minute, Larios blasted in a one-time volley from 20 yards out off the pass from sophomore Kristen Saravia (Downey HS).

Freshman Connor Fatone (Los Alamitos HS) posted two saves in goal for the Vikings.

Long Beach returns to action on Friday (Oct. 23) when the Vikings travel to rival Cerritos College for a 4 p.m. SCC game.
