Ivan is in his 7th season as an assistant coach specializing in goal keeper training for the Long Beach City College Men’s soccer team.

He began volunteer coaching at the high school level in 2008 at Long Beach Wilson High School as an assistant coach to the Boy’s Junior Varsity team, then moved on to coach the Boy’s JV team at Cabrillo High School. He also does private goal keeper training at Deft Touch Soccer Center in Los Alamitos and trains the goalkeepers at FC Long Beach.

Ivan attended Lakewood High School and graduated in 1999. He played baseball and ran cross country for a year. While in school, he was more involved in recreational sports such as Soccer, Baseball, Taekwondo and also competed in baile folklorico competitions. He played at Long Beach City College for one season as the starting goalkeeper.

He currently resides in Los Alamitos with his wife, Belinda, of almost 5 years and 1 year old daughter, Natalia.
