Coach Eric Leon is entering his 8th season as assistant under Coach Cameron Beaulac at Long Beach City College. During this time, Coach Eric has helped the Vikings win the SCC Championship and reach the state playoffs multiple times. In addition, he has helped guide a handful of players to four year universities such as: Cal State Fullerton, Cal Poly Pomona, Cal State Dominguez Hills, Concordia and more. A goal of Coach Eric with LBCC is to reach the State Final Four and win the State Championship. As a player, Coach Eric played at Artesia High School, then at LBCC, winning the SCC Championship in 2006. As a coach, his method is simple, put players in a position to make the wisest decision possible to be successful on and off the field.

As the current head varsity coach at Long Beach Polytechnic High School for the past four seasons, Eric has helped guide the Jackrabbits into three consecutive CIF SS playoffs appearances and won the 2020 Moore League Championship, a feat that had not been accomplished since 2005, when the Jackrabbits were led by LBCC head coach Cameron Beaulac.  In addition, he has had players move onto four year universities, and had both a league M.V.P. and league Offensive M.V.P.

Coach Eric has a USSF National License. Along with his college and high school coaching responsibilities, he has been coaching at HG Eagles Soccer Club for 16 years. During this time, he has helped teams succeed at the highest level of competition such as: Surf Cup, Players National Showcase, California Regional League, National Cup and CSL Premier.

Coach Eric is married to Noemi Torres.  They have four daughters, Elissa (12), Nadia (10), Lizbeth (5) and Tatiana(3).
