Bio
Joshua Nehls, the new head coach of the Long Beach City College men's volleyball team, carries a wealth of experience and a proven track record of success both as a player and a coach. A former LBCC athlete himself, Joshua led the Vikings to a state championship in 2016, showcasing his leadership and skill on the court.
Last season, Joshua also coached the men's volleyball team at St. John Bosco High School in the Trinity League, further highlighting his expertise in developing young athletes. His coaching career includes tenure at Ocean View and Artesia High Schools, where he managed both boys and girls volleyball programs. Additionally, Joshua has held a coaching position at Hope International University and competed professionally, playing and coaching for The Stunners in the National Volleyball Association, where he secured two championship titles.
Beyond the court, Joshua is the founder and manager of his own volleyball club, Volitude, which emphasizes skill development, sportsmanship, and competitive play.
