Bio

Coach Javier Magallanes, is known in the softball community as Coach Harvey.

Coach Harvey graduated from Westminster High School in 1996 and began coaching youth baseball and football shortly after. His journey into softball coaching started when his daughter, Ariana, began playing for West Grove Softball at 7. After three years with West Grove, he transitioned to coaching travel ball/club softball with the USA Athletics organization, where he has spent over 10 years coaching various age groups from 10U to 16U.

In the spring of 2024, he served as the JV head coach at Millikan High School before deciding to join the Long Beach City College softball staff this season.
