Victorious Vikings: A Recap of the Ron Allice Open

The Vikings Track & Field teams showcased their dominance at the Ron Allice Open held at Veterans Memorial Stadium on Friday, Feb. 16. The men's and women's teams secured first place in an outstanding display of athleticism and skill.

Freshman Simone Terry emerged as a standout performer for the Vikings, claiming victory in both the triple jump and long jump events. Freshman Aniyah Wyche demonstrated her versatility and speed by clinching first place in the 100m sprint and the 100m hurdles, showcasing her skills in both disciplines.

On the men's side, sophomore Kai Lauderdale electrified with a stellar performance in the 100m sprint, crossing the finish line in first place. Additionally, Lauderdale secured a podium finish in the 200m event, further solidifying his status as a challenging competitor.

Freshman Devarriea Oles delivered a commendable performance for the Vikings, claiming victory in the 110m hurdles and securing second place in the 400m race.

With their achievements at the Ron Allice Open, the Vikings have set the stage for continued success as they prepare for their next challenge. Fans can look forward to witnessing more thrilling performances from these athletes as they compete at the upcoming Ron Kamaka Open at Mt. San Antonio College on Saturday, February 24.
