Welcome Vikings women's soccer recruits!
Welcome Vikings women's soccer recruits!

The Long Beach City College (LBCC) women's soccer team wants to extend a warm welcome to the Fall 2020 recruiting class. Last season, the Vikings went 14-6 overall and placed third in the South Coast Conference with a 6-2 record. With their successful season, the Vikings earned a SoCal Regional Playoff berth. Please welcome the newest Vikings to the women's soccer team for the fall 2020 season!

Bailey Gallatin

Gallatin played a role in bringing an elusive league championship back to Millikan High School in 2019. Her size, strength, and skill will make it difficult for LBCC opponents this season.

Monserrath Galindo

Galindo comes to LBCC from Paramount High. She's an extremely versatile and creative attacking player that will bring more goal scoring to our program.

Alyssa Menjivar

Coming from Whitney High School, where she proved her strength and work rate both in the classroom and on the field. Menjivar not only scored goals when needed, but kept teams from scoring while also playing as a central defender. We are excited to add her versatility to the roster.

Alexa Castellanos

Castellanos brings a lot of experience in the midfield, where she played for Bellflower High School and her Slammers club team. Her vision and distribution ability will be an asset for LBCC this year.

Amanda Wenzler

Wenzler is a versatile winger that can play on either side of the field. She comes to us by from Santa Barbara where she went to school after graduating from Millikan.

Emely Soto

As an attacking mid with Norwalk High School and Slammers Futbol Club, Soto not only scored a lot of goals, but created even more. The Vikings are looking forward to her being on the roster in 2020.

Ashley Hernandez

Everyone Coach Nunes spoke to about this player, talks about her tenacity as a defender. The Vikings are definitely getting a very good defender in Hernandez, who comes to LBCC from Bell High School.

Amber Sandoval

One of the biggest commits, in a start-studded class, is Sandoval from Lakewood High School. Coach Nunes has had the pleasure of watching her play many times for Beach FC. She's a very talented player that's also complimented by her high work rate.

Desiree Villa

Villa played a lot of minutes as a midfielder at Bellflower High School and for Slammers FC. Her competitive nature makes her a good player and the Vikings look forward to having her wear a Long Beach jersey.

Ashley Russel

Russel is a defender from Millikan High School, where she made a significant contribution in their historic league championship in 2019. Her strength and athleticism will help LBCC in their own quest for a league title.

Catherine Duarte

As a defender from Lakewood High School, Duarte brings with her a lot of technical ability. Coach Nunes states, "She will allow us to keep playing from the back, but also has the strength and ability to be direct when needed." Duarte will be a solid addition to LBCC.

Alicia Yepez

Yepez comes to LBCC from Paramount High School. She grew up playing club soccer and is a defensive spark plug. Welcome Yepez!

Brianna Casas

Another quality player from Slammers FC, Casas plays attacking mid. As a standout player from Whittier High School, she became a team leader and we are excited she's decided to come to LBCC.

Alyssa Lucero

A huge contributor in the midfield, Lucero brings high work rate, intensity, and skill. She was an integral part of the 2019 league championship team at Mayfair High School and we are excited to have her coming to LBCC.

Serena Edgar

Serena is an extremely versatile player with a strong left foot. Coming to LBCC from Los Alamitos High School and Slammers FC, we are excited that she chose LBCC to further her academic and playing career.
