The state-ranked No. 5 Long Beach City College Vikings demolished the Los Angeles City College Cubs 7-0 in their first South Coast Conference game of the season.
The Vikings' offense was on fire as they totaled 17 shots on goal against the Cubs. Midfielder Paige Rodriguez led the charge with two goals, while forward Hannah Marshall was the catalyst behind three Vikings goals.
Goalkeeper Leila Saldic held the shutout in the goal against the Cubs and scored the PK in the first half for the Vikings.
The Vikings will return to action on Friday, Oct. 6 at Compton College at 4 p.m.
