Women’s Swimming & Diving: LBCC drops opening dual meets at Pasadena

The Long Beach City College women's swimming & diving team suffered a pair of South Coast Conference losses on Friday at Pasadena City College to open the 2016 dual meet schedule. Host Pasadena beat the Vikings 137-89 while East Los Angeles College defeated LBCC 141-106.

Competing with just eight women at the meet, Long Beach totaled two individual wins out of 13 events. Sophomore Burdette Forsch (Yorba Linda HS) took first place in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:37.77 while freshman Sydney Kohlenberger (Newport Harbor HS) was a winner in the 200-yard IM at 2:33.54.

The LBCC men's and women's swimming & diving teams will be back in action next weekend (Mar. 11-12) at the Cuesta College Invitational.
