Long Beach City College sophomore Tanner Moore (Irvine HS) went 4 for 4 with 4 RBI while freshman Daniel Rocha (Narbonne HS) tossed eight shutout innings to help lead the Vikings to a 10-0 South Coast Conference win over visiting Mt. San Antonio College on Tuesday at Joe Hicks Memorial Field.

The Vikings are one of the hottest teams in the state, having won nine of their last 10 games including six straight. LBCC improved to 15-7 overall and 7-0 in conference play.

Moore opened the Vikings' scoring when he smacked a two-run double to bring home freshman Vincent Byrd II (Sacramento, CA/El Camino HS) and sophomore Tai Tiedemann (Poly HS). LBCC added two runs in the sixth, four in the seventh, and two final runs in the eighth.

Moore hit a RBI double in the seventh and drove in his final run with a single in the eighth.

Despite collecting just two strikeouts, Rocha was dominant on the mound for the Vikings. He scattered five hits over eight innings and improved to 5-1 overall.
