Sophomore first baseman Vincent Byrd II (Sacramento, CA) was named to the First-Team All-Region squad, while sophomore shortstop Antonio Monroy (Maywood, CA) hauled in Second-Team All-Region accolades.

Monroy earned second-team recognition after having a breakout season during his final campaign as a Viking. After not playing in the first five games of the season, Monroy was named the starter in the sixth showdown and never handed over the spot. A sure-handed shortstop with a strong stick at the plate, the Maywood, CA native finished the season with 60 hits and a .341 batting average in 176 at-bats coming primarily in the two-hole of the batting order. Monroy scored a team-leading 50 runs and smacked 13 doubles and a pair of three-baggers. Monroy held a 13-game hitting streak at one point in the season where he earned a clip of .431 (25-for-58).
