Baseball Falls Against East Los Angeles

The Long Beach City College baseball team fell to the East Los Angeles College Huskies 5-2 on Thursday afternoon in their South Coast Conference matchup. The Vikings are currently 16-17 overall and are in third place in the conference standings with a 12-5 record.

The Huskies got on the board first with two runs in the second inning and then added three more runs to cap out at 5 total.

The Vikings bounced back with a rally in the ninth inning with two runs. Left fielder Raul Garcia was batted in by shortstop Olin Snakenborg, while first baseman Will Schwab smashed an RBI double to bring in pinch-runner Cody Lagafuaina.

The Vikings will be back on the field for game three of the conference series on Saturday, April 15 at East Los Angeles College at 12 p.m.
