In a decisive showdown, the Long Beach City College baseball squad outplayed the Rio Hondo Roadrunners, clinching a commanding 6-0 victory to complete the three-game conference sweep. With this victory marking their ninth consecutive win, the Vikings now reign atop the South Coast Conference standings with an unblemished 6-0 record.

On the mound, Royce Roberts asserted his dominance, limiting the Roadrunners to just two hits while keeping them scoreless and striking out four batters.

The Vikings wasted no time asserting their dominance at the plate, as Ryan Geck smashed a clutch 2 RBI single in the opening inning. This momentum continued with RBI singles from AJ Quezada and James Provencio, propelling the Vikings to a commanding 4-0 lead over Rio Hondo.

In the third frame, Caleb Brandon added to the onslaught with an RBI single, driving in Olin Snakenborg. The final nail in the coffin came in the bottom of the fifth inning, courtesy of Snakenborg's RBI double, securing the 6-0 conference triumph over the Roadrunners.

The Vikings will return to action on March 12th, hitting the diamond against LA Harbor College at 2:00 p.m.
