Long Beach City College football is proud to announce that freshman safety Dallas Burke has signed a National Letter of Intent with the University of Texas, El Paso to continue his academic and athletic efforts for fall 2021.

Without a Fall 2020 season, Burke still earned an athletic scholarship for his work during the Fall 2019 season. Burke took First-Team defensive honors as a freshman with the Vikings by totaling 42 tackles and had three interceptions for the Vikings. He also helped the Vikings earn a National Northern League Conference Title and a Southern California Bowl game win over Southwestern College at the end of the season.

The Miners are led by Dana Dimel and compete in the West Division of Conference USA in the National Collegiate Athletic Association Division I Football Bowl Subdivision.
