The Long Beach City College (LBCC) Vikings football team delivered an impressive 42-17 conference victory over Orange Coast College (OCC) in their 2024 Homecoming game. With this win, the Vikings maintain their undefeated conference record at 4-0.
Quarterback Jett Peddy led the charge for the Vikings' offense, completing four touchdown passes and amassing over 300 passing yards. The game began with a burst of momentum as wide receiver Troy TW Crozier returned the opening kickoff 91 yards, putting the Vikings on the board early. Shortly after, Anthony Fabian added a second touchdown, giving LBCC a commanding 14-0 lead.
The Vikings continued their offensive push in the second quarter with touchdown receptions by wide receivers Matthew Dragich and Tyson Bordeaux, both from Peddy. OCC responded with a field goal, getting on the scoreboard before halftime.
In the second half, LBCC secured their lead with two additional touchdowns, while the Pirates managed to add two touchdowns in the fourth quarter, concluding the game with a decisive 42-17 win for the Vikings.
Defensively, LBCC was anchored by standout defensive end Carson Moore, who recorded eight tackles and a sack for a five-yard loss.
The Vikings will return to action at home next Saturday, November 2, to face Golden West College, with kickoff scheduled for 6 p.m.
