Men's Basketball: Vikings edged 83-82 by West LA
Saion Udeh's layup with three seconds left in the game lifted West Los Angeles College to an 83-82 non-conference win over Long Beach City College on Wednesday night at the LBCC Hall of Champions Gym.

With the score tied 81-81, sophomore guard Raynard Tyler was fouled as he was driving to the hoop. Tyler made one of two free throws, giving the Wildcats the ball with 38 seconds remaining.

Udeh drove down the open lane as the shot clock expired and floated in his layup for the game-winning shot. Freshman Will Ervin's desperation three-pointer from half court bounced off the rim as time expired.

Tyler led all with 25 points. Ervin totaled 22 points while sophomore Jared Garber chipped in with 13 points and 12 rebounds.

Long Beach (3-10) returns to action on January 4 when it opens South Coast Conference play at home against rival Cerritos College.
