The Long Beach City College men's basketball team fell to the Cerritos College Falcons 77-69 on Wednesday evening in the Hall of Champions. With the loss, the Vikings drop to 16-9 overall and 3-4 in the South Coast Conference.
Sophomore guard Kester Ofoegbu led the team with the double-double of 22 points ad 12 rebounds. Sophomore guard Aaron Jelks was dialed in against the Falcons as he totaled 13 points with six assists and had three steals.
Freshman guard Khieem Williams and sophomore forward Matthew Schmidt each had eleven points for the Vikings. Schmidt was a force under the net as he snatched eight rebounds for Long Beach.
The Vikings will return to the court for more conference action on Friday, Feb. 14 at Compton College at 7 p.m.
