After an 18-10 record for the season and a third place conference finish, it was recently announced that sophomore forward Matthew Schmidt signed National Letter of Intent to further his basketball and academic career at the next level.

Schmidt committed to William Jessup University, where he will compete in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics. With the Vikings this season, Schmidt earned himself a spot on the All-Conference Honorable Mention list with averaging 6.7 rebounds and 11.9 points per game. Schmidt was a force in the paint for the Vikings as he totaled 188 rebounds for the season.

The Warriors are led by seventh-season head coach, Lance Von Vogt, and just had a tremendous year with 18-13 overall record, seventh-straight GSAC Tournament appearance, and had a 10-8 record in conference action.
