The Long Beach City College Vikings men's basketball team is proud to announce that sophomore guard Kester Ofoegbu will be continuing his academic and athletic career at Division I Carolina University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

This past season, Ofoegbu was awarded as the South Coast Conference Most Valuable Player as he averaged 22.3 points, with 9.3 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and 1.2 steals per game. He was on top of the conference leaderboard with 59.1 field goal percentage to help propel the Vikings to victory throughout the season.

During the 2018-19 season, Ofoegbu was a crucial part of the Vikings's defense as he helped take the Vikings to the final round of the SoCal Regionals.

The Carolina University Bruins compete in the National Christian College Athletic Association at the Division I level and are led by first-year head coach, Willie Williams.
