The Long Beach City College Vikings took down the LA Southwest Cougars 81-79 on Wednesday evening in the Hall of Champions. With the win, the Vikings currently tie for first place slot with LA Southwest in the South Coast Conference, both with 5-2 records.
Freshman guard Lorenzo Marsh led the Vikings with 27 points and 13 rebounds. Freshman forward Kameron Mayhan also had a double-double with 15 points and 15 rebounds. Freshman guard Bonard Johnson Jr. rounded out the top points for the team with 12 points.
The Vikings will be back on the court on Friday, Feb. 11 at Cerritos College at 5 p.m.
