After the No. 20 men's basketball team hauled in their South Coast Conference (SCC) Championship, it was recently announced that five men's basketball athletes were recognized with All-SCC honors.

Freshman guard Bonard Johnson Jr. earned a spot on the All-SCC South Division team by averaging 12.7 points per game and 2.4 assists per game. Johnson Jr. was a consistent leader for the Vikings as he was quick on his feet and always looking for opportunities at the rim for the Vikings.

Freshman guard Lorenzo Marsh also earned First-Team recognition by averaging 12.7 points per game and 4.9 rebounds per game. Marsh was key to the Vikings this year, as he totaled 344 points and 137 rebounds for the season.

Freshman forward Kameron Mayhan finalized the First-Team accolades for the Vikings as he averaged 12.1 points per game and 8.3 rebounds per game. He was a constant threat in the paint as he totaled 231 rebounds for the season.

Honorable mentions went to freshman forward Shane Hunter and sophomore guard Khieem Williams.

The Vikings recently wrapped the 2021-22 season in the second round of the SoCal Regional playoffs and will return next winter.
