In a thrilling matchup, the Long Beach City College men's basketball team secured a hard-fought victory against the Compton College Tartars with a final score of 91-88.
Sophomore Brandon Cerda showcased his offensive energy, leading the team with an impressive 23 points, while freshman Franklyn Chambers also made a significant contribution with 17 points.
Freshman Travin Thompson dominated the boards with 11 rebounds, proving to be a formidable force at the rim. Freshman Jacob Topete played a crucial role against the Tartars, notching five assists and adding 12 points to the team's success.
