Men's Soccer: Long Beach rolls to shutout win over Compton

The Long Beach City College men's soccer team earned its first South Coast Conference win of the season after a 2-0 shutout win at El Camino College Compton Center on Tuesday.

The victory improved the Vikings to 4-2-3 overall and 1-1-1 in conference play.

Freshman midfield Andres Montes gave the Vikings a 1-0 lead with his unassisted goal and sophomore forward Jessie Aguirre closed out the scoring with his goal off an assist from freshman forward Tim Harty.

Long Beach returns to action on Friday (Oct 7) when it hosts rival Cerritos College in a 2 p.m. South Coast Conference game.
