Men’s Soccer: Vikings can’t stop Pasadena in 4-0 loss

The Long Beach City College men's soccer team allowed a season-high four goals and was shutout 4-0 by visiting Pasadena City College in a South Coast Conference game on Friday.

LBCC and Pasadena both totaled 15 shots each, but the Vikings couldn't finish on their scoring opportunities.

Pasadena (4-8-5, 4-2-4 SCC) led 2-0 at halftime after goals by Luis Flores (6th minute) and Victor Menchaca (40th). The Lancers poured it on in the second, getting goals by Eric Chavez (74th) and Brandon Flores (85th).

Sophomore Jorge Becerra posted four saves for Long Beach while PCC goalie Alex Radillo also had four saves in the shutout.

Long Beach (4-10-3, 2-5-3 SCC) returns to action on Tuesday (Oct. 30) when it travels to Mt. San Antonio College for a 5 p.m. SCC game.
