The No. 11 nationally-ranked Long Beach City College men's soccer team continued its unbeaten start to the season as the Vikings posted a 1-0 shutout over visiting Allan Hancock College on Friday.

Long Beach dominated the contest and outshot Allan Hancock (0-4 overall) by a 17-4 margin but only found the back of the net once. Freshman Jose Garcia (Artesia HS, pictured) scored the lone goal in the 22nd minute off the assist from freshman Joel Altilano (Artesia HS).

Sophomore goalkeeper Luis Anguiano (Bellflower HS) had two saves in the first half and freshman Rogelio Zaragoza (Las Vegas, NV) closed out the win with two second-half saves. 

Long Beach, now 2-0 overall, returns to action on Tuesday (Sep 10) at 7 p.m. when the Vikings travel to Orange Coast College for a non-conference game.
