The Long Beach City College men's soccer team rolled to its third consecutive victory thanks to a 4-2 non-conference win over visiting San Diego City College on Friday. It was the second time this season that Long Beach had defeated SDCC.

Sophomore Evair Marin (Cabrillo HS) knocked in a pair of penalty kick goals to lead LBCC in the win. He currently leads the Vikings with five goals this season. Freshman Hector Rojo (Paramount HS) and freshman Miguel Razo (Artesia HS) also scored.

Freshmen Arnulfo Vargas and Manuel Reyes (Wilson HS) combined for the win in goal for LBCC.

The Vikings are off to their best start under head coach Cameron Beaulac. LBCC, now 4-1-1, returns to action next Friday (Sept. 25) when the Vikings travel to Rio Hondo College for a 3 p.m. non-conference game.

Long Beach opens South Coast Conference play on Sept. 29 when it hosts rival and defending state champion Cerritos College at 4 p.m.
