Men's soccer defeated the San Diego City College Knights 1-0 Friday afternoon on home turf. The Vikings are on a five-game undefeated winning streak and are off to their best start under head coach Cameron Beaulac.

Sophomore defender from Los Alamitos High School, Julio Guerrero, scored from a corner kick assist from freshman midfielder Alfredo Figueroa in the 21st min in the first half.

The Vikings pursued the Knights offensively and aggressively with taking a total of nine shots on goal, two being from midfielder Jesse Alvarez.

Sophomore goalkeeper Andres Figueroa-Flores earned four saves against San Diego City in 90 minutes between the poles. 

The Viking men's soccer team will play again on Tuesday, Sept 12 at Orange Coast College at 7 p.m.
