The men's soccer team came to a 1-1 draw against Cerritos in their final home conference game on Thursday evening at the Viking Soccer Field. This is the Vikings' third consecutive tie, which brings them to 11-4-5 and 3-1-3 in the South Coast Conference.
The Falcons were first to get on the board with a goal in the 43rd minute. Coming into the half, sophomore midfielder Fabio Mujica scored in the 63rd minute off a rebound from the post. This was Mujica's first goal of the season.
The Vikings and the Falcons remained at a standstill for the rest of the game. Sophomore goalkeeper Andres Figueroa-Flores was undeniable in between the posts with four saves throughout the game.
The Vikings will play the Cerritos College Falcons again on Saturday, November 11 at 1 p.m. in a rescheduled game from Oct. 10.
