The Long Beach City College men's soccer team tied the El Camino Warriors 2-2 on Tuesday evening at the Viking Soccer Field in their first South Coast Conference game.

The Vikings started out strong as they were first on the board against the Warriors. Sophomore forward Carlos Maldonado demonstrated his quick feet to the Warrior's goalkeeper, as he slid by him and tapped in the Vikings' first goal.

Freshman defender Miles Hodgson was next up for the Vikings as he utilized a free kick to blast the ball into the back of the net to put the Vikings ahead of the Warriors by two.

El Camino wasn't giving up yet and scored twice in the second half to tie and finish the game 2-2.

The Vikings will play again on Tuesday, Oct. 2 at LA Harbor College in their second South Coast Conference game at 4 p.m.
