Vikings Shut Out Pasadena 2-0

The men's soccer team took down the Pasadena City College Lancers 3-0 on Friday afternoon at the Viking Soccer Complex. With the win, the Vikings advance to 8-2-2 overall. The Vikings were on fire as they totaled 10 shots with five being on the Pasadena goal.

In the first half of the game, sophomore midfielder Oskar Raymundo smashed the first goal in the left hand side of the net with help from freshman midfielder Sergio Flores and sophomore forward Carlos Maldonado.

Then in the second half at the 86 minute mark, Flores dribbled the ball to the back of the Lancer's goal with the assist coming from Maldonado.

Freshman goalkeeper Mario DelLaTorre had two saves and didn't let any Lancer goals go by him.

The Vikings will play again at home next Tuesday, Oct. 16 against East Los Angeles College at 4 p.m.
