Men’s Soccer Ties El Camino 1-1

The Long Beach City College men's soccer team tied the No. 6 El Camino Warriors 1-1 on Tuesday evening at Veterans Memorial Stadium. With the conference tie, the Vikings hold a 4-7-4 record and are 1-1-1 in conference action.

Freshman goalkeeper Max Heinze held off the Warriors until a penalty kick in the second half. Heinze also had one save against El Camino.

Freshman forward Gustavo Cervantes scored for the Vikings in the first half with the assist from sophomore forward Jaelyn Agu.

The Warriors came back in the second half with a penalty kick goal to tie and finish the game 1-1.

The Long Beach City College Vikings will return to the field on Friday, Oct. 18 at Veterans Memorial Stadium against Pasadena City College at 4 p.m.
