Men’s Soccer Displays Seven All-Conference Athletes
Seven Long Beach City College men’s soccer athletes earned All-SCC honors following a second place showing and a 6-3-3 conference record.

It was recently announced by the South Coast Conference that seven Long Beach City College men's soccer athletes earned All-SCC honors following a second place showing and a 6-3-3 conference record.
Freshman midfielder Jonathan Grado earned top honors as the SCC South Defensive Player of the Year as he is a key mainstay in the Viking's midfield with one goal and six assists under his belt.
Starting in all but one game, freshman midfielder Carlos Bahena was welcomed onto the First-Team honors list as a midfielder for his consistency with the Vikings. Sophomore Oliver Juarez also inherited top First-Team honors as a goalkeeper with his 1.25 GAVG and 78 total saves. Freshman defender Adrian Acevedo finalized the First-Team list for the Vikings as he was part of the Vikings' strong defense that tallied 12 shutouts during the season.
The Vikings also placed three athletes to the Second-Team honors with freshman forwards Diego Albanez and Jesus Moreno, as they score a combined effort of 14 goals, and sophomore defender Brian Chung.
The No. 6 Vikings qualified for the California Community College Athletic Association SoCal Regional Playoffs and will host No. 11 Bakersfield College on Saturday, Nov. 20th at Santa Ana College at 2 p.m.
