The No. 12 men's soccer team secured a 4-2 victory over Santa Ana College, extending their undefeated streak to 4-0.
The Dons struck first, taking an early lead in the first half, but the Vikings responded with a stunning goal from Jose Mariscal to even the score. Despite another goal from Santa Ana, which left the Vikings trailing at halftime, the Vikings came out strong in the second half.
Mariscal netted his second goal of the game, assisted by Antony Martinez, tying it up at 2-2. The Vikings then took control, with Julian Zarate and Carlos Reyes each finding the back of the net, sealing the 4-2 win.
Goalkeeper Abraham Ramirez also played a key role defensively, recording four saves.
"It was a tough game, but lots of credit to our guys for sticking to the game plan and coming back in the second half," said Director of Soccer Operations Jorge Reyes.
The Vikings will hit the road for their next match on Friday, Sept. 13, when they travel to MiraCosta College at 4 p.m.
