The Long Beach City College Swim and Dive teams capped off their season with standout performances at the 3C2A State Championships, held May 1–3 at Santa Rosa Junior College.
Mar Bernal placed sixth in the 200-yard freestyle with a strong time of 1:59.64, while Avery White earned a fifth-place finish in the 100-yard backstroke, clocking in at 2:11.62. The highlight of the weekend came from Nathaniel D'Aloisio, who claimed the gold medal in the 200-yard butterfly with a winning time and personal best time of 1:48.63.
"The teams swam well. The competition was tough this year but had some great highlights. All our individuals and relays had their best times." said Director of Aquatics Bradley Adamson. "We had 7 new school records broken for the whole season and my first individual State Champion as Head Coach in the men's 200 Butterfly, Nathaniel D'Aloisio."
