The No. 1 state-ranked Long Beach City College men's volleyball team cruised to a 3-0 sweep over visiting No. 5 state-ranked Orange Coast College on Friday at LBCC. The Vikings won the match by scores of 25-23, 25-23, and 25-19.

Long Beach closed out its non-conference schedule with a 6-0 record. LBCC has swept five of its six opponents and has won 18 of 19 sets.

Sophomore Max Wechsung (St. John Bosco HS, pictured) led the charge for the Vikings on Friday, posting nine kills, two blocks, and 16 assists. Freshman Greg Utupo (Mayfair HS) totaled a team-best 11 kills and freshman Jo'Lon Clark (Poly HS) had eight kills and three blocks.
