Men's Volleyball Cruises Past Palomar, 3-0

The top-ranked Long Beach City College men's volleyball team continued action against the Palomar College Comets on their home hardwood Wednesday night. The Vikings had no problem taking down the Comets by defeating them in a straight-set fashion.

Freshman outside hitter Cyrus Fa'alogo (Salt Lake City, UT) paced the Vikings by hammering home 14 kills on 25 attempts. He added three digs as well. Sophomore outside hitter Travis O'Gorman (East Northport, NY) backed him with 10 kills and added five digs with a block assists.

Freshman opposite Noah Taitano (Carson, CA) chipped in seven kills and owned the net for four block assists.

Sophomore setter Gary Trejo (Downey, CA) was the main facilitator to the offense by serving up 21 assist, while sophomore setter Jayce Ashment (Gilbert, AZ) followed suit with 14 assists. Sophomore libero David Escobedo (Los Angeles, CA) led the way on the defensive end with 10 digs.

The Vikings (2-0) will travel to Orange Coast College to face off against Irvine Valley and Orange Coast on Saturday, February 3 at 10 a.m. and 7 p.m., respectfully.
