No. 6 Men's Volleyball Sends Moorpark Home Packing in Three Sets

The No. 6 Long Beach City College men's volleyball team played host to the Moorpark College Raiders on Wednesday night. The Vikings cruised to an easy three-set victory with set scores reading 25-10, 25-18, and 26-24.

Freshman outside Cyrus Fa'alogo (Salt Lake City, UT) paced the pack by hammering home 21 kills which is his second-largest output of the season. He was effective with his attempt as well by earning a .500 hitting percentage (21-for-34).

Long Beach owned the middle of the court by recording a total of 13 blocks (12 BA, 1 BS). Fa'alogo recorded two block assists, while freshman middle Alan Zelaya (Long Beach, CA), freshman outside Steven Rotter (La Palma, CA), and freshman opposite Noah Taitano (Carson, CA) each recorded two block assists as well.

Rotter chipped in on the offensive front by firing home 11 kills, while sophomore middle Elai Mama (Moreno Valley, CA) chipped in seven kills.

Sophomore setter Gary Trejo (Downey, CA) handled the offensive flow by dishing out 32 assists which was his second-largest output of the season.

The Vikings (4-3) will hit the road to face off against Pierce College on Friday, February 24th at 6 p.m.
